Workshops and exclusive painting party events are held at my studio gallery in Sowerby Bridge at Artemis, Room 3, 3 Lilly Street, Halifax HX6 3DG.
Access includes stairs, many apologies in advance.
Adding yourself to the mailing list gives you priority to new events, as they book up fast..
GIFT CERTIFICATES ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR ANY CHOSEN AMOUNT.
I take bookings on a first-come basis, adding to a reserve list before contacting you within a couple of weeks of the start date and ask for full non-refundable payment by BACS.

SUMMER DAY CLASSES 2026
SAT 11th JULY – Guidance on unfinished work. Bring along any watercolour that you need guidance on to finish, from a previous class with myself or other. Book for a morning 10 – 12PM, afternoon 1 – 3 PM, £25 single session or £45 for both. COMPLETE
Full day classes available to book. Contact directly by email, contact page or phone to reserve your place and make payment of £50 or £55 if you need all materials supplied.
WED 15th JULY – Wild seed heads of Mallorca at sundown. Close up seed heads growing wild in an abandoned field, where we landed after a sunset hot air balloon ride. Layering brushwork, some fluid masking is used. COMPLETE

FRI 24th JULY – Layered landscape – limited drawing. Landscape painting in tonal layers to create distance, using colour mixing and texture techniques to add interest. FULL
SAT 25th JULY – Rabbit. For those who want to paint a cute animal and those who want to practice painting fur. Loose layering of colour mixing. FULL
TUES 28th JULY – Wild swimmers. Figure painting but all about the distortions of water, seeing abstract shapes. Bright colours. SPACES AVAILABLE
SAT 1st AUG – White roses for Yorkshire Day. Always a popular flower to paint. The white of the petals takes up the subtle shades from their surroundings. FULL
MON 3rd AUG – Bird’s nest. No drawing. Go wild with mark making and texture, using nature to paint a picture. 2 SPACES AVAILABLE
SAT 8th AUG -Free abstract playing with watercolour. No drawing. For those who want to play with colour mixing and texture techniques to create a bold, colourful piece of art. 1 SPACE ONLY
TUES 11th AUG – Mallorca coastline. Limited drawing. A view from the sea, soaring cliffs and distant hills, in a layered landscape. SPACES AVAILABLE
THURS 20th AUG – Cherry Blossom. A frenzy of pink flowers, delicate leaves and strong textured branches contrasting against blue sky. 1 SPACE ONLY
TUES 25th AUG – Storm clouds. We do get some brilliant skies here in Calderdale, some of the best are from when the weather turns heavy. Wet on wet painting, limited drawing. FULL
All sessions have a friendly, relaxed atmosphere with lots of individual attention, due to the maximum number of 5 per session. It also means that they can be adapted for all abilities to just enjoy creativity, build and practice skills or be challenged. You are welcome to take as you wish whether simply a time out for yourself, learn something new or challenge your current skills in a relaxed group.
Bring along your own paper, paint and brushes though I can supply if you let me know.
